CBF Care Guide

Head washing

Heads can be washed in the bathtub. I recommend crumpling paper and putting it on the inside of the eyes for support. Be very gentle when washing and do not wring or lift the head directly from the water to avoid ripping seams. Recommend using Woolite as the detergent. The head can also be spot cleaned with Folex. Avoid any airbrushed spots as much as possible. If your suit contains airbrushing it will be noted on the back of this page.

Touch ups

Over time airbrushed spots will fade regardless of how well you take care of it. I offer free airbrushed touch ups as long as shipping is covered by you. If you have any questions about this please reach out to me.

Hand paws, Feet paws and Tail washing

All three can be machine washed delicately with cold water not hot water, it may ruin the fur and hot glue. recommended washing with woolite detergent.

Everything can be washed with a Bissell little green machine if you do not have access to a washing machine. Please be gentle with the fur and avoid using the machine on any airbrushed parts as well

Bodysuit washing and drying process

If you own a digitigrade bodysuit then you will first need to remove all of the stuffing before you do anything. Body suits can be washed in the washing machine on delicate with COLD water only.

For bathtub cleaning, fill the tub with cold water and mix in some detergent. Place the body in the water and gently scrub with your hands to get the water and soap into the fabric. drain the tub and begin rinsing. you will have to repeat this several times to remove all the water. Do NOT wring the suit or directly lift it from the water or else theyll ruin the fur or break seams. Once its rinsed out then youll need to squeeze the remaining water out of the suit. This is a very long process since the suit holds a lot of water.

Hang the body suit to dry and thoroughly brush every few hours. If the body suit is dripping water you will need to do a dry spin cycle in your washing machine if it has that option otherwise you will have to press the water out of the suit in a bathtub. Do not attach feet paws or insert the padding stuffing until the suit is completely dry including the inside.

Drying process

Sit head on top of a fan and brush every few hours or so. Make sure the inside of the head gets dried to prevent any unwanted growth. Dry everything else in front of a fan and Let everything dry completely before storing it away.

(other parts will be dried in a fan as well and brushed every so often)

Tips:

-Avoid messy areas while in a suit. Especially if you have a tail that touches the ground make sure it doesn't drag when outside.

-Do not use any kind of heat on any part of the suit. It can melt the fur together and ruin the hot glue which cannot be fixed without redoing the fur.

-Don't wring anything out if it's drenched in water because it will stretch the fabric. Instead, press or squeeze the water out.
